CAE has reached the milestone of one million safe man-hours without LTI (lost time injury) on project ADW-372 located in Habshan.
Currently CAE has 270 employees working on the project, while maximum manpower during peak stages was 480. The milestone was reached in early November.
CAE was awarded the 40 Million Man Hours Award from ADGAS CEO Mr. Fahim Kazim. This No-Lost-Time-Injury Achievement was by ADGAS on Das Island, along with all its subcontractors, including CAE.
The CAE Team working on the Polybed Unit Revamp Project (ADW-376) were handed the “Outstanding HSE Performance in Turnaround (HCK/HSK) – 2012” award ahead of 12 competing contractors.
The award ceremony took place on the night of Tuesday 3rd July in the presence of S.R. Suresh (EPC Project Manager), Quintin Du Toit (HSE Manager) and R. Sugunan (Sr. Site Manager).
In addition to them, Key personnel involved in this project to achieve this award are Shashi Gaur (Dy. Project Manager), Nitin Dnyate (Dy. Project Manager), Sooraj (HSE Officer).
The award ceremony comes just weeks after CAE crossed the one million man-hours without a Lost Time Injury on another one of the company’s esteemed projects. This HSE milestone was accomplished in June 2012 at the Instrument Works Package for Ruwais.
Hyundai Heavy Industries recently visited CAE head office to sign the subcontract for E&I works with Control & Applications Emirates.
The Subcontract is for Electrical & Instrumentation Installation, Tie-in Work, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start Up Assistance in Green and Brown Field Areas for the Integrated Gas development (IGD) Das Island Project UAE.
The works will entail new build and installation of facilities and working on the live plant upgrading the existing facilities.
CAE will employ approximately 220 workers at the peak of these works.
Work commenced on 18th February and is due to finish in late March 2013.
GTM awarded CAE the subcontract for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical works for the Shower and Tea Room Facilities at Ruwais GSP as a GASCO project.
GASCO awarded CAE the subcontract for the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of Upgrade of the Emergency Siren System in Asab 1 & 2.
Granite awarded CAE the subcontract for the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical & HVAC works for the New Additional Building at Asab 1 & 2 as a GASCO project.
