Ruwais Jetty

Upgrade of Jetty Computer System

  • Year: 1993
  • Location: Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
  • Contractor/End User: Elsag Bailey / ADNOC
  • Project Scope:
    • Upgrade of the whole instrumentation/control system
    • Erection engineering, including new cables routing, support structures design, power supply diagram, grounding diagrams, modification of existing documentation, as built drawings, etc.
    • Dismantling of existing control panels and installing new control panels, adapting the existing structures
    • Disconnection of all existing signals DCR, POV, PMCR and berths, reconnection of all aforementioned signals to new junction boxes, connection of signals to new junction boxes
    • Interconnection of panels, consoles, ups, etc, laying 24000m of fibre optic cables
    • Earthing installation, the transfer of all signals from old to new control system was carried out in hot changeover mode

Supply, Installation & Commissioning of the New Control System at Asab

  • Year: 1988-1990
  • Location: Asab, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
  • Contractor/End User: ADCO
  • Project Scope:
    • Detailed design, engineering and supply of the new process control system (NCPS) including software design and its implementation, technical description and philosophy of operation of the overall NCPS
    • Detailed design, engineering and supply of the new ESD system including software design and its implementation
    • Perform all related engineering and purchase all required instruments and material to substitute the existing pneumatic instruments by electronic instruments
    • Preassembly and FAT test of all DCS and ESD system at CAE premises
    • Calibration and testing of all equipment and materials
    • Supply and installation of a mimic panel in the new control room
    • Supervision of civil work
    • Hot changeover
    • Complete commissioning of the works
    • Training of ADCO personnel
    • Complete check after six months
    • One year maintenance
